Leo de Kock | Recyclable packaging that reduces food waste
Better collaboration: Leo de Kock offers a broad selection of fresh potato varieties. Keenly in tune with their consumers’ desire for sustainability, they worked with Amcor on a packaging solution that reduces food and packaging waste as much as possible. Packaging innovation: Potatoes vary widely in size, taste and seasonal availability, with each variation having a huge impact on how they should be stored. Leo de Kock uses Amcor's recyclable P-Plus packs with controlled micro-perforations tailored to each potato variety. The tailored ‘breathability’ of the film matches the respiration rate of the product inside to naturally create a Modified Atmosphere which prolongs freshness. More sustainable: Leo de Kock's P-Plus pouches are recyclable in the Netherlands, where they sell their fresh potatoes.
