ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 17025:2005 Certifications

Wattyl is certified to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 17025:2005. ISO 9001:2008 specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. ISO 17025:2005 ISO/IEC 17025:2005 specifies the general requirements for the competence to carry out tests and/or calibrations, including sampling. It covers testing and calibration performed using standard methods, non-standard methods, and laboratory-developed methods. You can read more about ISO Certifications here: https://www.iso.org/

The Paintback Waste Management Scheme

We’re a proud supporter and founding member of Paintback, a world-first, industry-led national paint collection, disposal and recycling scheme, which aims to reduce the large volumes of waste paint and packaging going into landfill. The scheme has over 160 drop off locations across Australia.

GECA Certification

Our GECA licences (Paints & Coatings (PCv2.3-2012)) cover a range of preparation and topcoat products, namely interior walls, ceilings and trims. These are recognised by ISCA and contribute to IS ratings. They also contribute to Green Star, WELL, NABERS and LEED. GECA’s ecolabel on your products and services provides an independent tick to specifiers and purchasers that your products and services are better for the environment and reduce their impact on human health.

Wattyl becomes a Green building council of Australia member

We’re a member of Green Building Council Australia (GBCA), an authority on sustainable buildings and communities. We have a range of Wattyl products that contribute to Green Star credit points. GBCA Green Star rating tools help reduce the environmental impact of buildings.

NATA

Our laboratories are NATA™ accredited for the testing of surface coatings. NATA accredits organisations to perform testing and inspection activities for their products and services. This gives consumers the assurance they need to make safe, healthy and reliable choices.

APAS - Australian Paint Approval Scheme

APAS certified manufacturing units and product certifications. About APAS: The Australian Paint Approval Scheme (APAS) is an independent 3rd party conformity and product prequalification scheme that tests and certifies all types of surface coating materials and associated products. APAS specialises in the ‘verification of conformity’, whereby the extent to which a products specified requirements is systematically examined.
