NATURAL INGREDIENTS

It's only natural. Everything you need to nourish your skin, inside and out, can be found in nature - so that's where we get our ingredients from. Simple. At Sukin, we are committed to delivering the perfect balance of naturalness, affordability and safety, to as many people as we can the world over. Sukin products are 98.8% naturally derived, the difference is how we keep our naturally derived ingredients safe for your use.

VEGAN SKINCARE

No harm to our animal friends. We’re in the business of creating beautiful skincare, for caring customers. That’s why we don’t use animal derivatives like lanolin, or animal by-products like honey or beeswax, in any of our products.

CRUELTY FREE

Cruelty isn’t in our nature. If you’ve ever heard the saying ‘treat others as you want to be treated’, you’ll understand why we’re proudly cruelty free. It’s a stance we’ve taken since the day we started, all the way back in 2007.

CARBON NEUTRAL

We’re carbon footprint-free. From sourcing, to production, to delivery to your skin, Sukin products are 100% Carbon Neutral, and helping you to reduce your impact on the environment.

SUKIN SUPPORTING THE GREAT BARRIER REEF

Did you know the Great Barrier Reef is home to six of the seven marine turtle species inhabiting our great planet? Did you also know that over 3,000 different types of coral and 1,700 specifies of fish also call the Reef home? Amazing isn’t it! Which is why here at Sukin we are seriously concerned that our amazing Barrier Reef’s future is currently at risk. After Climate Change (see what we are doing about that here ) poor water quality is the greatest local threat to the future of our reef. Each year, millions of tonnes of fine sediment (containing pesticides and other chemical nasties) flow from the eroding inland areas surrounding the reef into the sea, choking fish, creating algae blooms and feeding crown-of-thorns Starfish. This issue is exacerbated by the degradation of up to 50% of Australia’s coastal wetlands, which had previously acted as a giant filter to sediment prior to entering the reef. That’s why Sukin has partnered with Greening Australia on their Reef Aid Program. Greening Australia is a not for profit that was established 35 years ago to tackle Australia’s biggest environmental challenges with the best science and the best people, to return life to landscapes and balance to the natural environment. This partnership, through the Reef Aid program, will help to stop sediment at its source and improve water quality. We are working with local landholders and communities across the Great Barrier Reef Catchment to rebuild eroding land and restore vital coastal wetlands.

ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS

Here at Sukin, we're committed to providing skincare that doesn’t cost the earth. This isn’t merely a commitment to creating affordable products, but also with minimal cost to our precious environment. We achieve this by thinking and acting sustainably wherever possible. Keep reading for our environmental initiatives.

GREY WATER SAFE

Sukin formulations are grey water safe, so you can feel confident that what you are using is not going to damage our rivers, animals and plant life once it heads down the drain. Our formulations are biodegradable, avoiding contamination in our waterways. Sukin face and body scrubs are free from micro plastic beads and employ only natural and biodegradable exfoliants.

RECYCLABLE PACKAGING

For Sukin products, we carefully develop our packaging based on our Sustainability Policy, considering not only the primary packaging but also through the whole supply chain, maximizing efficiency and reducing the impact to the environment. We also support our packaging development on the Sustainable Packaging Guidelines (SPGs) from the Australian Packaging Covenant Organization (APCO) in order to be compliant with the latest regulations. Sukin uses PET plastic on most full sized products. PET plastic is 100% recyclable and all packaging is BPA free. We encourage all Sukin bottles to be put into the recycling bin. However, to make sure the material is successfully recycled in the Material Recovery Facilities, we suggest to rinse the product off and leave the caps on the bottles before putting it in the recycling bin. Sukin also uses amber glass and PE tubes for some products, being both 100% recyclable. As a commitment with our future generations, we keep improving our packaging, without compromising its quality, as well as our sustainability design strategy. This is only possible working in collaboration with our packaging suppliers and external institutions.
