Our products are produced with renewable solar power

At the South Australian Gourmet Food company we have solar panels on our factory roof that generate enough power on regular sunny days to power our production. South Australia is the driest state on the driest continent in the world, so we are cognizant of water usage too. We have implemented technology to reduce our production water usage by 90%. We are busy feverishly working on making our retort pouches recyclable to align with the APCO plan in 2025, to which we are a signatory. We are actively seeking recycled packaging material to use for our packaging where possible. We support local farmers and local industry by buying ingredients locally for the delicious products we make. This also reduces our carbon footprint.
