Ocean Plastic Prevention

We partner with Plastic Bank to produce our Suprelle® Blue quilt. Our quilt is filled with 100% Suprelle® Blue fibre, which is made from ocean-bound bottles collected and recycled with the aim of reducing plastic pollution worldwide.

Organic Cotton

Our Organic Stone Washed Cotton sheet set, and Organics Stone Washed Cotton quilt cover set is GOTS certified. GOTS, Global Organic Textile Standard, is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.

Action against landfill

Snooze proudly partners with the Australian Bedding Stewardship Council. The ABSC is continuing the development and implementation of a whole of lifecycle product stewardship scheme for mattresses and bedding industry. This is an industry facing organisation.

Mattress recycling program

Snooze supports the RecyleMyMattress program – Recycle My Mattress works with manufacturers, retailers and social impact recyclers to help dispose of mattresses responsibly. This is a consumer facing organisation.

The Snooze Safety and Sustainability Committee

Snooze has formed a Safety and Sustainability Committee with the aim of improving the way in which we conduct business. Some initial initiatives, at head office, include the adoption of Green Office supplies, sensor lighting, LED lighting, recycling and reviewing green utilities.

Snooze Responsible Business Journey

Snooze is developing a Responsible Business Journey to ensure strategies are in place to improve our sustainable, social and environmental credentials.

100% Recyclable Mattress Bags

We are proud to be partnering with a manufacturer whose bags are 100% LDPE. This means the material can be recycled.

Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification

The timber sourced and used in our furniture range is PEFC approved. PEFC stands for the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification which is an international, non-profit, non-governmental organisation. It promotes sustainable forest management through independent third party certification.

Forest Stewardship Council

Manufacturers of our furniture ensure any timber sourced is FSC certified. The FSC, Forest Stewardship Council, is an international non-profit, multi-stakeholder organisation established in 1993. It promotes responsible management of the worlds forest.

SoftLanding

SoftLanding is a social enterprise company which provides employment to people otherwise experiencing barriers to employment. SoftLanding picks-up mattresses and bases directly from outside your home address for a fee. They keep mattresses and bases from landfill as they recover components to recycle.

Snooze is proud to be a Foundation Member of Sustainable Choice. Sustainable Choice is an independent digital destination where brands, like ours, can share their commitments to becoming more sustainable.

UN Global

Snooze is pleased to announce we have joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative - a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible business practices.

Snooze Linen Recovery Project

Snooze in partnership with BlockTexx and Select-O-Pedic is proud to launch a linen recycling project. This project is live in participating Queensland (and Tweed Heads) Snooze stores commencing June. Consumers who donate preloved and laundered fitted sheets, flat sheets, quilt covers and pillow slips will be rewarded with 30% off Snooze Branded linen on the day. This program is a trial and runs from June to end of August, 2023.
