Our generation portfolio supports the growth of renewable energy

Gas generation produces around half the emissions of coal, and our flexible gas generation portfolio provides energy for our customers when the wind isn't blowing or the sun isn't shining. And until closed in 2032, our coal-fired generation will continue its important role, ensuring reliable and affordable energy for our customers.

We've been growing renewables for more than a decade

Almost 20% of our owned and contracted generation capacity comes from renewables and storage. This will continue to grow with a further 530 MW under construction at Stockyard Hill.

We’re helping global decarbonisation

Our gas production in Queensland supports the transition to renewables in Australia and the switch from more carbon-intensive coal in Asia. Our Beetaloo exploration project has the potential to provide more gas to support a lower carbon future both in Australia and overseas.
