Our Commitment towards building a sustainable future
Moonshadow®, a Sleep Corp® brand, is proud to be one of the foundation members of Sustainable Choice. Moonshadow®, relatively new to the market, includes a growing range of bedding products or manchester and brings together over 40 years of development, with Protect-A-Bed® Sleep Corp’s flagship brand the market leader in Mattress and Pillow Protection. Our vision is “supporting people to deal with life’s challenges by unlocking the power of sleep”. Something that we are committed to doing both ethically and with the environment in mind. Proudly Australian owned and designed Sleep Corp® has the capability to manufacture a range of products under the Moonshadow® brand in both Australia and in overseas partner factories. Along with Protect-A-Bed® other brands in the Sleep Corp® family include Buddies®, Freshotel®, Opossum® and Airley™. Acknowledging that sustainability is a journey that requires a clear focus and ongoing actions, our sustainability council are looking at changes we can make now and into the future across all areas of the business. From how we do things day-to-day, to the raw materials used, product production, packaging and distribution, we are actively pursuing sustainability. Moving to new state-of-the-art facilities, in Melbourne Australia, in late 202,1 gave us the opportunity to begin implementing a number of new processes as part of our Industry 4.0 journey with a focus on reducing our environmental footprint. We are continuing to build on this today. You can read more about some of these in our profile actions and commitments. As a member of APCO (the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation) we have also committed to move all our packaging from PEVA bags to 100% recyclable packaging by 2025, with the first changes already beginning to take place.
