Celebrating sustainability wins in the retail industry

While consumer habits could do with some improving, brands also have a responsibility to do their bit in reducing waste. Did you know that many of our popular retail brands are introducing innovative solutions to contribute to sustainability? Let’s celebrate a few of the sustainability solutions our brands have come up with to do their part and divert waste from landfill.

Corporates joining hands to create a sustainable world

Adidas X Parley

Adidas has partnered with Parley, an environmental organisation fighting against ocean plastic, to create high performance sportswear. Kudos to the partnership for reaching five fruitful years of collaboration.

What we like:

A goal of Adidas is to use 100% recycled polyester in all garments by 2024.


Nike is also a forerunner when it comes to transforming waste and reducing carbon emissions. Good work Nike for taking a genuine interest in sustainability. Vapormax 2020 Flyknit is the latest addition to the already existing range of products using recycled materials.

Herbal Essences

Herbal Essences, part of the P&G family, is renowned for their paraben-free and real botanical fragrances of shampoos and conditioners. Together with TerraCycle, an innovative recycling social enterprise, this sustainable initiative has removed more than three tonnes of plastic waste from oceans.

Affordable and popular clothing brand H&M has been active on the sustainability front since 2013. Through H&M’s garment collection initiative, it’s easy for you to prevent clothes from reaching landfills and you also get rewarded for it!
